This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e. through May 2026) or into Summer 2026 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.


International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the Team



Material Planner Intern is a pivotal role within the operations department, that will manage the procurement of materials, planning production, initiate and coordinate the successful completion of equipment build. This person will also manage inventories while also coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Responsible for the daily overview, scheduling, and execution of all kitting request to the kitting team, using the department kitting planner and directives from project managers Support project managers by using multi-level BOM tools to accurately submit kitting requests, as well as requests for additions and change notices Liaison with the kitting associates, project managers, purchasing, engineering, and assembly technicians to ensure the on-time delivery of kits and parts to the floor Walk the floor to analyze material requirements and initiate appropriate part distribution to each job Participates and provide credible updates on various parts/jobs during weekly meetings Daily update and maintenance of parts expedite tracker Daily completion and submission of shipment request forms (SRF) to logistics department for outbound shipments Monitor the status of parts shipped to job sites, and respond both adequately and timely to any situation that may be impending to installation of the delivered kits Assist with stock transfer between plants Monitor and support the tracking and tracing of all back ordered parts in and out of the facility as per job requirements Maintain a strong floor presence to evaluate and respond to various assembly kitting needs Various other departmental task assigned by management from time to time

What You'll Bring

1-2 years' experience in material planning or related field preferred but not required High level of accuracy within a fast-paced environment Solid ability to multitask on various fronts Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and the ability collaborate well with team members Strong working knowledge of various Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Teams, excel and Word Positive attitude and the ability collaborate well with team members Solid ability to multitask on various fronts Strong attention to detail High level of accuracy within a fast-paced environment
