Are you an International Medical Graduate preparing to apply to a residency program in Canada? Are you looking for a clinical observer opportunity to learn more about the practice of medicine in Canada and strengthen your residency application?

Veridian Wellness Clinics, a multidisciplinary mental-health clinic in Burnaby, BC, is inviting expressions of interest from IMGs to join as Clinical Observers under the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) framework.

Start Date: Planned for 2026 (we can start working on your application as soon as possible)

Positions: 2 spots available

What we offer:

- Supervised clinical observation in a collaborative mental-health environment

- Mentorship from a CPSBC-registered supervising psychiatrist

- Exposure to psychiatric care, assessment, and rTMS treatment

- Opportunity to earn a strong reference letter upon successful completion

Your Duties:

- Under the regulation of the CPSBC, your will function at a level equivalent to that of a 4th year medical student

- patient assessment, report writing, chart review, reviewing with the supervising physician

Eligibility (required):

An applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:

have a medical degree from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools which includes the Canada sponsor note

meet the CPSBC English language proficiency requirements

have Canadian citizenship, be a permanent resident, or be legally able to live and work in British Columbia

have a current CV/resume

have a supervising physician, with a written confirmation and signed clinical observership agreement, subject to CPSBC approval

Who we're looking for:

IMGs already in Canada or planning to relocate before 2026

Strong interest in psychiatry or mental health care

Professionalism, reliability, and eagerness to learn
