Gordian's Public Sector Marketing Manager will contribute to the company's growth objectives through the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing initiatives to support Gordian's products and solutions in the Canadian market focused on Broader Public Sector and MASH entities (municipal, academic, schools and healthcare). This role is directly responsible for the positioning and strategy development for the suite of Gordian solutions developed for identified target markets and personas, and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team(s). This role will develop, implement and measure brand awareness and demand generation marketing plans including both inbound and outbound tactics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective strategies and plans to boost the company's reputation and generate demand for new and existing solutions to drive adoption in the broader public sector space
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns from conceptualization to execution and report out
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a monthly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Analyze consumer behaviour and adjust promotional and advertising campaigns accordingly
  • Develop buyer personas and solution content for new and existing offerings
Details:
  • Responsible for marketing Gordian products and solutions to the public sector:
  • Develop integrated marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, demand creation and lead generation
  • Coordinate with product and marketing team to ensure persona-based messaging is included in all marketing efforts and customer touch points in a consistent and impactful way to position the company as thought-leaders within the space
  • Plan, implement and track Marketing efforts:
  • Setup and monitor campaigns in marketing systems and tools, including Marketo, Asana and Salesforce
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations for testing, optimization and future enhancements
  • Define appropriate marketing activity and Key Performance Indicator metrics at the campaign, program and industry level; monitor and report performance to company leadership
  • Serve as main Marketing point of contact for sales team:
  • Work with cross-functional departments to develop go-to-market strategies for new and evolving products to address special nuances and requirements in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales
  • Provide sales enablement tools to aid in the buying journey to convert leads
  • Manage lead funnel and work with sales teams to manage lead volume and velocity
  • Serve as Marketing subject matter expert:
  • Assist in developing industry buyer personas and solution content for new and existing offerings and validate through voice of the customer
  • Stay abreast of industry and competitive landscape
  • Understand the product buyer journey and identify and capitalize on customer retention and satisfaction opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field from accredited institution; or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+years' experience in marketing B2B field required
  • Experience in B2B and B2G required, marketing to construction, facilities or procurement preferred
  • The ideal candidate is analytical and results-driven and has experience in strategic planning, execution and tracking success of projects and plans
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and empower
  • Ability to create and manage multiple types of projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting milestones in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven track record to solve problems, handle conflict, anticipate issues/concerns, troubleshoot problems, and proactively institute creative solutions quickly and thoroughly but with detail
  • Ability to operate autonomously in pursuit of established objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth company environment
  • Experience in working effectively in cross-functional teams to meet established objectives
  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication, preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation platforms and Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required.
  • Other remote locations are an option dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Some travel required, amount dependent on location
