As an

International Freight Operations

Coordinator

, you are responsible for arranging and following-up on international freight through dispatch operations for all assigned clients, including spot quoting, tracking, and invoicing.

Here are some of the activities you will be expected to perform:



Take orders from customers and outsource to the proper carriers for pickup of international freight. Arrange for basic deliveries and investigate which type of move. Also arrange deliveries from warehouse to Consignee Rate negotiations with carriers, and guaranteeing warehouse charges, maintaining client relations Ensure customers freight is picked up / delivered to the customer on time, by tracking and tracing international shipments Match vendor invoices to payable, and preparing customers invoices once freight files are closed Provide customers / prospects with on spot quotes for freight moving at that moment or projects in the future Billing and filing, miscellaneous administration, operational assistance to brokerage department All other duties as assigned

These are the standards we look for:



High School Diploma is required 2-3 years experience in international air and ocean import coordination (required). Ability to understand Incoterms Familiarity with eManifest requirements, and freight forwarding systems(Descartes) is preferred; however, training will be provided for the operations system if not already familiar Attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills. Working knowledge of export operations is a plus. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
