The Accounting Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting activities while providing financial insight related to manufacturing costs, inventory control, and operational performance. This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working closely with production and management teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and present monthly financial statements
Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial variances
Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
Perform collection calls and manage delinquent accounts
Manage and analyze inventory levels, including work-in-progress and finished goods
Organize, reconcile, and support physical inventory counts
Analyze manufacturing costs and production variances
Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for management
Support internal controls and continuous process improvements
Provide customer service support when required
Promote a positive, collaborative work environment
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or controller role
Experience in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments strongly preferred
CPA designation considered an asset but not required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Experience with OGASYS considered an asset
Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
