Job Description

You are an Internal Communications Intern.





We're looking for a creative, curious, and proactive Internal Communications Intern to join our team at ChangeMakers Toronto. If you're passionate about storytelling, culture, and connecting people, this role is your chance to make an impact from the inside out.



You'll help craft engaging internal communications that celebrate our people and purpose -- and we encourage you to bring your own bright ideas, especially if you're excited about using

automation or AI tools

to make impactful, engaging communication happen faster and more efficiently.


What are your responsibilities?




Plan, write, and edit engaging content for the company's internal newsletter and other communication channels. Support campaigns, announcements, and initiatives that build culture and connection across ChangeMakers. Collaborate with teams across the company to uncover stories and share moments that matter. Explore and propose

ways to enhance internal communications through automation or AI-driven solutions

.

Publish and manage content

on internal platforms (such as SharePoint or other CMS tools). Contribute creative ideas to enhance storytelling and employee engagement. Thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, where flexibility and curiosity are key. Capture and curate photography from internal events and team gatherings. Network and build relationships across teams to strengthen collaboration.



What type of person should I be?




Background in journalism, communications, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities. Comfortable with

Microsoft tools

, blogging, and updating internal platforms (SharePoint, WordPress, or similar CMS). Interest in

technology, AI, or automation

as tools to improve communication workflows. Organized and adaptable, with a collaborative mindset. Photography skills are a strong asset. A self-starter who's eager to learn -- and ready to bring fresh ideas to life.

Hours:

16 hours per week

Four months (January 5, 2026 - April 30, 2026)
