JOB SUMMARY: The Technology Risk Summer Internship will assist the Cybersecurity Technology Risk team identify and manage risk within Tilray IT environments, systems, and throughout IT Projects. They will additionally learn to implement and maintain security toolsets, documentation, and planning efforts, to protect the organization\xe2\x80\x99s networks and systems from cyber threats, globally.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Cybersecurity Technology Risk team to ensure that appropriate security guidance is provided to support project delivery
Ensure proper risk is identified and managed throughout Tilray IT environments, systems, applications, and throughout IT Projects
Collaborate with IT and the business to properly consider vendor and risk management in new and on-going projects and endeavors
Provide input into the design and implementation of standards, policies, guidelines, and appropriate architectural principles to ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s cybersecurity goals continue to be met
Assist in the design, technical writing, testing, and maintenance of Tilray\xe2\x80\x99s Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and other planning efforts
Assist with penetration testing activities to identify security weaknesses within Tilray\'s technology environments
Support a culture of in-depth understanding as to why security testing is required at both business and internal team level
Analysis of information protection technologies and processes to identify technology security weaknesses
Assist security team during security incidents and investigations, ensure root cause analysis is undertaken and input suggested approaches to deal with lessons identified
Collaborate with IT Operations to develop and maintain secure technology solutions
Work closely with Legal and the business to help review IT specific contractual information
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program
Experience in Risk Management (i.e. ability to identify, analyze, and suggest mitigation to, risk) an asset
Outstanding communication skills written and verbal
Experience in creation of information security documentation, policies, and procedures
Experience in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
Good knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities related to platform and infrastructure Post Secondary knowledge on security technologies, such as: endpoint, firewalls, and more
Deep knowledge of network protocols, routing, and architecture
Ability to build and earn trust of co-workers and clients quickly
Friendly, positive demeanor
