Intern - Information Technology
Reports To: Director - Information Techology
Start Date: August 28, 2023 End Date: December 29, 2023

Job Summary:
The IT Intern will join a small global IT team in taking on a variety of tasks related to corporate Information Technology. They will progressively be tasked with increasing levels of responsibilities including but not limited to; user onboarding/offboarding and Information Technology maintenance on a variety of platforms, etc.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Onboarding/offboarding users, new hire orientation
- Setup, support, decommissioning of:
- Computer hardware: laptops, desktops, servers, printers, mobile devices
- AD accounts
- Office365/Exchange accounts
- Endpoint Management (Microsoft Endpoint Manger)
- Azure infrastructure
- SSO and MFA solutions
- Application delivery
- Remote/WFH user connectivity, VPN, RDP
- Gathering evidence for compliance audits; enforcing IT policies, such as:
- physical IT asset inventories
- enforcing device compliance policies
- cyber security training
Other Duties:
- Basic networking, troubleshooting WiFi /hardwired connectivity: patching between wall ports, patch panels, switches, and routers
- PowerShell scripting, group policies, other automation
- A/V setup and support
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology program
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Experience with SharePoint, PowerShell scripting, Virtual Desktop solutions an asset
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented
