Intern - Health Platforms (4 month Internship)
Health Platforms has an opportunity for a four month term for a senior undergraduate (or recent graduate) in a business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program. This position will allow you to apply your research knowledge and expand your skills while gaining valuable experience for future career opportunities. This would be a full-time opportunity for the summer.
This position will assist Health Platforms in data entry, synthesis, design and modelling for business insights and informed decision-making. You will have a chance to co- support program delivery, co-create business intelligence, and any other support activities as they arise.
Preference will be given to candidates who are based in Edmonton. Please note that this role is not a remote job.

The successful candidate would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Data entry, synthesis, modeling, design and modelling:

• Conduct data entry - ensuring data integrity and accuracy of information
• Collaborate with team members to gather needs
• Co-develop data capture forms and data dictionaries
• Co-develop data modeling and visualization for ongoing reporting and to inform business operations

Programmatic Support:

• Providing other programmatic & administrative support to Health Platform teams as required.

Qualifications:

• Senior undergraduate in a business or STEM program, returning to their program of study in September 2026. Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
• 1-2 years prior experience with: administration and/or data management.
• Knowledge and interest in Alberta's research and innovation ecosystem.
• Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Additional Information
The final candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance. All interviewees must be able to meet the requirement specified in the Physical Demand Analysis.
