Intern - Finance

Mississauga, ON / Full-time (Hybrid)

Pay rate $20.90 - $24.20(per hour)

Finance Intern will support the finance department in its daily operations, assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks.

Your responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements. Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes by assisting with reconciliations and financial statement preparation. Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing accurate data and insights for informed decision-making. Support accounts receivable (A/R) initiatives by analyzing overdue accounts, conducting investigations on discrepancies, and managing deductions. Aid in the processing of accounts payable (A/P) payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Generate and issue quotes for builders, ensuring clarity and compliance with company standards. Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the finance team.

Your Profile

Four-Year College in Business or related field like accounting, finance and economics - Preferred 0-2 Years experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics - Preferred Strong analytical skills with a logical mindset Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities Solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting concepts Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to strict deadlines Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Travel Percentage - 10%
