Position Overview: We are currently seeking an intern architect with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident individual with leadership skills. The candidate should be design orientated and technically proficient with knowledge and experience using various computer applications such as BIM, Revit and AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Photoshop, internet applications, as well as having working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.Typical Functions & Skills: Overseeing group work plans, monitoring workflow, QAQC, and ensuring deliverables meet the organization's standards with client schedules. Coordinate with designers, project managers, engineers and other consultants to meet deadlines. Ensure that the Architecture Group is informed of any trends, events or emerging technology of significance to the group's success. Represents the organization through attendance at events outside of regular working hours. Strong interpersonal and public relation skills to work effectively with various City officials, staff and clients. Knowledge of local zoning by-law and Building Codes. Experience in application procedures and negotiations for municipal permits is an asset. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgement within general policy guidelines.Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a minimum Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture degree or equivalent. Applicants must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the Province of British Columbia, LEED AP registration an asset.Compensation and Benefits Overview:
