Position Overview:

GroupM Canada is looking for an Intern, to work alongside the Accounts Payable Analyst within the Accounts Payable team.

If you are currently enrolled in an accounting or finance program, then this is a great opportunity for you!

You will be assigned a list of clients and/or vendors which you will be responsible for from receiving the invoice to payment preparation. You will be liaising with agency staff and external vendors via e-mail and Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Daily checking on incoming email in the general email folders
• Maintaining a good filing system online
• Daily coding, matching, and posting invoices
• Ensuring that supplier invoices are received on time with proper backups
• Daily contact with internal media/agency personnel and outside vendors
• Assisting with vendor inquires via Microsoft Teams, phone, or email related to payments and/or statement updates
• Reconciling vendor statements on a monthly basis
• Checking weekly payment reports to ensure that vendor address and invoice numbers/amounts are accurate
• Maintain and following internal control policies

• Analytical with an ability to problem solve independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Able to work simultaneously on multiple tasks while maintaining immaculate attention to detail
• Enthusiastic self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and to take on challenges
• Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision
