Position Description:



Currently, Tetranex is seeking a contract or full time Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong Oil & Gas experience (upstream, midstream, heavy oil, SAGD, or facility engineering).



The successful candidate will support engineering and procurement activities for projects located primarily in Alberta and Saskatchewan, including brownfield modifications and greenfield facility designs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment and enjoys taking projects from early concept through detailed engineering and construction.



Responsibilities:



Develop and contribute to project deliverables, including DBMs, PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, and tie-in packages. Prepare and maintain mechanical deliverables such as Equipment Lists, Tie-Point Lists, Line Lists, SP Items lists and other discipline documents. Preparation of mechanical data sheets for Static, Rotating equipment and Piping items Prepare Material Requisitions (MRQs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and procurement packages. Review and approve vendor drawings, technical documents, and engineering calculations. Provide Regulatory support including ABSA / TSASK submissions Coordinate mechanical Construction Work Packages for fabrication and field work Provide fabrication, construction and field support (RFIs, Technical and Specifications Deviations)

Requirements:



10 + years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience in Oil & Gas. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Registered with APEGA (P.Eng.). Strong understanding of ABSA, API, NACE, ASME, CSA, and other applicable codes and acts (federal, provincial, municipal). Ability to interpret engineering drawings, vendor documents, and project specifications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a project team. Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations.
