The Intermediate Structural Engineer will take a
lead role in quality assurance
, ensuring that all structural design work and technical drawings produced by our designers and engineers meet professional and code standards. This role focuses less on direct drafting and more on
review, certification, and mentorship
, ensuring the design team consistently delivers accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
Perform
quality assurance reviews
of subdivision home designs, custom home drawings, and technical calculations
Review and
certify structural drawings
for compliance with the Ontario Building Code and engineering best practices
Provide
technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight
to engineers, designers, and drafters
Coordinate and resolve structural issues with internal team members, clients, and contractors
Conduct
site visits and inspections
as required, addressing design-related queries
Ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and meet project deadlines
Contribute to
process improvements
to strengthen QA and team efficiency
Perform all other duties as assigned

Professional Qualifications
Local candidates only (no overseas resumes)
Canadian Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (structural specialization)
P.Eng. designation with Professional Engineers Ontario
(preferred)
Min. 5 years experience with
OBC Part 9
(required); Part 4 (asset)
Strong knowledge of residential design and construction practices
Effective
organizational and interpersonal skills
