As a Software Developer, you understand the performance impact of clean code, multi-threading, good software design and scalability. You will find reward in building robust software that can function 24/7 with no down time. What you\'ll do:



The Software Developer will be part of a team who builds a state of the art telematics platform that makes sense of the data collected by custom-built hardware. This position will involve writing high-performance C# code and SQL queries to process and store this information in real-time. This position writes JavaScript and TypeScript code to create fast and responsive user interfaces.

How you\'ll make an impact:

    • Define, design, and implement new software applications in collaboration with other members of the development and technical teams.
    • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
    • Perform Test-Driven and Security-Driven Development.
    • Conduct comprehensive code reviews and ensure that coding standards are followed.
    • Analyze call stacks, trace files, debug logs or performance data to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of bugs.
    • Participate in development of prototypes, minimum viable products and PoCs.
    • Help maintain code quality, organization and automation.
    • Perform maintenance programming for existing applications.
    • Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.
    • Provide design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance and code reuse.
    • Provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process.
    • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule (if applicable).


What you\'ll bring to this role:

    • 3-5 years of experience with using Linux, C# and .Net and experience with object-oriented design, unit testing, optimization and multithreaded programming.
    • Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, ES6, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks(e.g. Angular, React, Node.js, Vue.js).
    • Experience with SQL Server and Postgres. Database design, optimization and writing queries.
    • Working knowledge of web services including REST and MVC.
    • Working knowledge with Git and Jira is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
    • Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Electrical or Software Engineering or other related degree.
