/Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with the SVP of Engineering and the R&D team this role will develop and implement cloud-based image processing pipelines and workflows for movie production.

  • Software development which produces solid working code and solving problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop in an agile environment while meeting deadlines
  • Partner with the production teams to support them in achieving their production goals
  • Create intuitive interfaces to complex processes
  • Cooperate with system support staff to provide diagnostic tools and second tier support
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in node.js/JavaScript
  • Some proficiency with another scripting language (Python preferred), are an asset
  • Experience with micro services architecture
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience with source code control (Git preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing SW on client server systems
  • Experience implementing software to manage data flow through a multi-client render farm
  • Familiarity with batch processing (high transaction volumes) preferred
  • Experience with cloud computing preferred, particularly AWS
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
