Join a team that has the environment down to a science.Your OpportunityWe are seeking an Intermediate Reporting Coordinator with a focus on contaminated sites to join our growing Alberta Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team. This office-based position will focus on ensuring client deliverables are completed consistently, timely and are of high quality. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of and SIR projects across Alberta and the Northwest Territories.Under the leadership of exceptional project managers, this opportunity allows you to be a part of a cohesive and highly skilled team of environmental professionals.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPromote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantecs Health and Safety ProgramCreate and lead a positive safety culture on all projectsWork with Project Managers to develop field instructions and coordinate field scopes of work with Stantec staff and subcontractorsCoordination of field data being received from field work being completed from a variety of SIR field tasks including but not limited to, Phase I, Phase II and Phase III ESAs, ongoing environmental monitoring and other general remediation and reclamation activitiesMaintain a deliverable tracker of projects, sites and deliverables for multiple projectsWriting and peer review of technical reports including (but not limited to) Phase I, Phase II and Phase III ESAs, Remedial Action Plans (RAP), Reclamation Plans, Record of Site Conditions (RoSC), Ongoing Environmental Monitoring and Risk Management plans (RMP)QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsDedicated to working safely within established procedures and protocolsAdaptability, organization, critical thinking, self-motivation, a keen willingness to learn, attention to detail, succinct writing ability, and ability to multitaskStrong communication skillsEnvironmental report writing experienceProficiency with standard productivity software including all MSOffice productsExperience with databases in the SIR context and knowledge of other Environmental software including OpenGround, EQUIS, FieldMaps and other ArcGIS applications is considered to be an assetPractical knowledge of contaminated sites frameworks and guidelines in Alberta including (but not limited to): Alberta Contaminated Sites Policy Framework, Alberta Tier 1 and Tier 2 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines, Alberta Environmental Site Assessment Standards and Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) frameworks, directives, protocols and guidelines related to contaminated sites managementExperience with AER OneStop tool is considered an asset but not requiredExperience in the field of Environmental Science or EngineeringAble to obtain federal reliability security clearanceEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree or diploma in environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field.Minimum of three (3) years in Site Investigation and Remediation (or a related field) work either in a field or office type role.Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset.This position will involve working in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods.
