Reporting to Manager, Software Development, you will be working on a transformational brand-new high business impact platform. Successful candidate will work hand in hand with our other developers on developing new features, fixing bugs, implementing change requests, performance optimizations and supporting the platform. Collaboration with project stakeholders, project managers, QAs, POs, UI/UX designers and other team members will be required as well. Hybrid work mode.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, reliable, and scalable full-stack software solutions (Python, Vue.js., .NET).
Liaise with architects, Leads, QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to define software requirements; and to assess feasibility of solution within time constraints.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Produce code that is secure, reliable, reusable, and scalable.
Mentor junior engineers, foster knowledge sharing, and encourage technical growth within the team.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while monitoring and improving the overall systems health.
Follow industry standards in application development, secure coding, and testing.
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks while analyzing these issues and developing appropriate mitigations or escalating where appropriate.
Establish strong working relationships across various business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.
Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related field
6+ years of hands-on experience in Service and Microservice oriented architecture, Web-based development, and cloud-based development, and 3+ years' experience in web application development in .NET environment
Advanced expertise in Python development, including design patterns, unit testing, debugging, and frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
Strong experience in working with Vue.js and hands-on experience with web development (html, javascript, jquery, css, bootstrap)
Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL), web frameworks, and RESTful API development
Experience in cloud (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent analytical problem diagnosis, investigation and solving skills
Ability to fully take ownership of a project or a product is a must, with minimal support after initial ramp-up period
High attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt to high paced environment where a candidate is required to often switch from one project to another
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written required (ability to receive and provide feedback a must)
Ability to work well in a team environment or solo and under tight deadlines is a must
Bilingual in English & French a strong asset
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Github Actions, an asset
