Build your career with Kraken Robotics. Make a difference to others. If innovation drives you, and you want a career that makes a difference to the world, helping humanity overcome the challenges in our oceans - safely, efficiently, and sustainably -
Assist in the design mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD software, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. This applies to the breadth of Kraken products and systems. Such as: Launch and Recovery Systems, KATFISH, Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) products, Deep Sea Batteries, Chargers and Mine Hunting Systems. With focus on:
+ Developing 3D models, parts and assemblies. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) simulation studies to optimize design. Such as stress analysis.
Develop and maintain documentation to support Kraken's products and systems. Including various types of mechanical drawings, manuals, procedures, training material, interface instructions, etc. With a focus on:
+ Implement engineering change requests.
+ 2D drawings considering tolerance stack up analysis, part fabrication process, inspection processes, cost using standard tolerancing and GD&T. Support and advise internal customers concerning the applicable drawing standards and procedures.
Support development and maintenance of build instructions until official hand over to Production.
Support development and maintenance of comprehensive test plans and procedures to verify requirement compliance, validating performance, functionality, and reliability of Kraken products and systems.
Participate in projects through the entire design life cycle, including preliminary and detailed design, major design reviews, build and test.
Manage product data and documentation using Product Data Management software ensuring accurate version control and revision history.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, ILS, Production, Supply Chain Management, Configuration & Documentation Management, Project Management and Business Development.
Support Production in developing standard Work Instructions and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Occasionally perform physical work including assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and testing of components.
Work with the Production department to provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process.
