Our team of multi-disciplinary experts is seeking a driven professional who will utilize their design expertise to dream big ideas on various and complex municipal water/wastewater treatment process and facility projects. We\xe2\x80\x99d rely on your collaboration skills to coordinate interdisciplinary work as well as encourage to bring your fresh ideas to work everyday. As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer you\xe2\x80\x99ll have the opportunity to assist in delivering cutting edge automation services to our clients. You will be part of a team engaged in delivering some of the most exciting projects in the GTA region and beyond.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive team as you develop engineering techniques and procedures. We\xe2\x80\x99ll ask you to use your working knowledge of various SCADA system hardware and software, which includes Distributed Control System (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human Machine Interface (HMI), to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for large water/wastewater projects.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll also conduct site assessments and make control system design recommendations as well collaborate on proposals to increase the bottom line.

  • Engineering degree in Controls, Systems, Computer, Process Mechanical, or Electrical
  • Professional Engineers licence in Ontario
  • At least 8 years of relevant I&C experience in industrial electrical and control systems
  • Experience in the design, specification and commissioning of industrial instrumentation and control systems, with experience in water / wastewater treatment systems as an asset
  • Experience in the specification and commissioning of field instrumentation devices for the measurement and control of flow, level, pressure, temperature, analytical process systems
  • Thorough understanding of Canadian codes and standards, governing regulations and industry practices
  • Familiarity with the design and specification of PLC-based control systems, including Allen-Bradley, GE, Schneider
  • Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming is an asset. Software types would include but wouldn\'t be limited to RSLogix 5/500/5000, RSNetworx, FactoryTalk automation software, GE iFix and iHistorian, XLReporter, Wokderware
  • Proficiency / working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
  • Willing to work independently and learn new systems
  • Comfortable working with computer hardware, networking, and enterprise systems
  • Comfortable in instrumentation and control equipment selection and specification
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with creative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
