Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

Intermediate Civil Designer Responsibilities:

• Model and prepare preliminary to detailed design drawings for a variety of Mining and Infrastructure projects, primarily Site Grading and Earthworks, Road Alignments, Dam Rehabilitation and design, storm and sanitary sewer networks.
• Assisted by Senior Designer, Model and prepare drawings as based on design criteria, detailed notes and specifications.
• Convert existing scanned drawings or hardcopy drawings to electronic format by efficient use of scanning/tracing.
• Develop utility and linear infrastructure Plan and Profile designs and other civil drawings using survey data and survey points.

Educational Background and Skills:

• Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited College
• Minimum 5 yeacts experience in a similar role
• Strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD. Proficiency with Revit, Open Roads, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Bim 360 and ACC is an asset.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in Civil infrastructure, Site Planning, Linear alignment designs
• Knowledge of pipe material selection, pipe bedding materials, standard lengths would be an asset.
• Consulting Engineering Experience is an asset.
• C.E.T. Certification is an asset.
