About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence Services, eHealth Saskatchewan is looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst with a team player attitude and customer focus who takes pride in knowing the work they do has a direct impact on the lives of patients, their families and our community. The type of work will vary every day, but will revolve primarily around documenting business processes and requirements, specifications including providing clarity to our health system partners on the services we provide.
In this role, the business analyst will have the exciting opportunity to gather requirements, shape process and ensure positive outcomes on data projects and initiatives serving health system partners.
Typical Daily Duties
Liaise with end users, customers, third party service providers and business partners;
Establish, facilitate, support and nurture a network of "Super users and/or SME's", who will assist in supporting eHealth applications within their local environments;
Develop and evaluate information requirements of senior management through leadership and use of business teams;
Document and assess requirements of business areas and support options development and project workplan documentation;
Provide one-on-one or small group application training;
Contribute to the ongoing development of system training materials and ensure that user documentation is maintained;
Identify opportunities where business processes can be enhanced through the implementation of technology or by other techniques;
Gather and document requirements for upgrades and enhancements;
Participate and provide expertise in projects as needed to ensure that services are smoothly transitioned into Support Services;
Participate in a project manager role for small to medium internal projects.
What we are looking for
The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related area of study. An IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) with equivalent combination of experience will also be considered. In addition to educational requirements, you will also bring 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or similar in an integrated support environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Additional skills include: Database concepts, theories and principles;
Requirements analysis and solution design principles;
Commercial software applications;
Health sector related business knowledge is required;
A strong technical background, experience with facilitation and training;
Experience in the integration of healthcare IT applications with a focus on common EHR systems, interoperability standards are an asset; and
ITIL Certification is considered an asset.

Excellent written skills to communicate and present options and alternatives, and bring forward recommendations to both clinical and IT professionals; and
Excellent documentation skills to produce proposals, charters, business requirements, test plans and schedules.
