Guthrie Muscovitch Bielny Architecture (GMBA) is a Toronto-based design firm looking to expand our team to bring on board a seasoned Intermediate Architectural Technologist. The position would provide an opportunity to be involved on a wide range of project phases. From design development to contract documentation and contract administration. Our projects vary from single family housing , multi-family residential developments and mixed-use buildings. Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare working drawings for all projects
• Creation of technical content including details to the highest standard of excellence while ensuring the design intent is consistently maintained throughout the project
• Complete OBC analysis on projects as required.
• You will work closely with the Project Manager and coordinate with other staff members as well as coordinating all aspects of the project with the Mechanical, Electrical and Structural consultants

Qualifications to include:

• Diploma from a recognized architectural technology program or equivalent.
• Min 5 years industry experience
• Experience in wood frame, concrete and steel construction building science and technical detailing, architectural systems, general construction knowledge.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism and time management skills.
• Familiar with the Ontario Building Code with understanding of building code concepts and its application
• Experience developing contract document packages, drawing standards, organization and creation of drawing sets for medium to large size projects
• Experience supporting contract administration phases of work, including site experience.
• Software Capabilities, Autocad, Microsoft Office.
• Coordination of Mechanical/Structural/Electrical components and consultants
• Be task oriented \xe2\x80\x93 able to switch between tasks and projects easily
• Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with little supervision
