Full DS Homes Inc is a Custom Home builder building in and around Calgary! As a builder we are growing and building in more communities which means we are seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist! We require attention to detail, quality, & craftsmanship. Do you have the passion and desire to be a part of the team to provide people with the home of their dreams? We are looking for a responsible self-starter with exceptional customer service skills and administrative knowledge to help us manage our growing client base - new home construction knowledge is a must. Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting \xe2\x80\x93 preparing plans; creating new models and elevations, updating standard plans and blacklines as needed, preparing details for standard or customized items such as fireplaces, HIRF, Niches, etc.
- Building Pockets \xe2\x80\x93 helping sales to determine pocket size for allowable house width as well as garage orientation on lot
- Adjusting grades as per the provided plot plan, making sure everything works properly and adding additional siding, steps, etc. where applicable
- Submitting for Architectural Approval and making any necessary changes that may arise upon that review.
- Taking care of architectural approvals
- Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Residential Industry
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of the Alberta Building Code information and how to use it
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the Company including its executive team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- French not required
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
