Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Team. The Accounting Team provides centralized accounting for a group of pharmacies that are located throughout BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the AP runs, assisting with the intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, year end schedules and financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience working in a full cycle environment. Our office is located in BC's Shuswap at Sorrento.

Responsibilities

Oversee AP payment runs Prepare monthly intercompany transactions and reconciliations Preparation of multiply monthly bank reconciliations Assist controller with the year-end working papers and financials Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Support Payroll processing as required Oversee & processing of external reports: GST, PST, Corporate, and WCB Filing Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.

Skills

Accounting certificate / diploma, CPA candidate or CPA Minimum 5 years experience in full cycle accounting environment Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with General Leger, bank reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software, Sage and Excel. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments. The ability to work in a team and independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
