RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform day to day full-cycle accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank/visa reconciliation, invoicing and wire/ACH payment.
• Assist in month end reporting including labour cost allocation report, business unit reports, intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Collaborate closely with the parent company (Public Co) oversea on quarterly/annual budget and forecast.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly government remittance for GST, PST, EHT and WCB.
• FX Management, buy/sell of foreign currencies and perform month end foreign exchange rate revaluation.
• Assist in financial year end preparation and various government audits.
• Compile working paper for SRED filing and BC IDMTC application.
• Other ad hoc projects as requested

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
• Degree in business or working towards CPA designation
• Experience with year-end audit
• Superior problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel and Word) and Sage 50
• Strong work ethic and standards with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with year-end audit
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with AARO consolidation is a plus
• Solid work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to get the job done while having fun!
