We are seeking a dedicated Intermediate Accountantto join our team

in Kamloops, British Columbia

. As a dynamic construction and manufacturing company with international projects and an extensive global supply chain, we offer a challenging yet rewarding environment. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What You'll Do:



As our Intermediate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, including:

Payroll Processing:

Manage end-to-end payroll for 90-120 employees, including year-end processes and T4s.

Accounts Payable:

Share responsibility for our paperless AP system (Timberscan), including preparing, documenting, and posting invoices, matching vendor statements, managing cheque runs, and AP reporting, including multi-currency transactions.

Reconciliations:

Reconcile credit card statements and perform bank reconciliations.

Cash Management:

Post deposits and maintain the deposit register.

General Ledger:

Prepare and post GL journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses.

Accounts Receivable:

Prepare and post monthly billings.

Support & Growth:

Provide backup support for the company's general voicemail, maintain records and filing, and take on additional accounting duties as your knowledge and skills grow.

What You Bring:



Education: Certificate or diploma in accounting is an asset. Experience: Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is required, with a construction background preferred Growth Mindset: You want to grow and are not afraid to ask questions. You are curious, always seeking to understand the 'WHY' behind the numbers and processes. Professional Attitude: You approach your work with confident but humble professionalism, knowing when to lead a task and when to seek advice. You are people-orientated and value clear, respectful communication with colleagues and vendors. Technical Skills: Experience with Sage 300 CRE Timberline software is a strong asset. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and intermediate to advanced Excel experience is required. Payroll Aptitude: Ability and willingness to learn our internal payroll processes. Core Competencies: Effective written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, ability to problem solve, and a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
