Posted On: Aug 13, 2024Intermediate AccountantOur client is on the search for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join their team in Calgary. A successful candidate will play a crucial role in key finance functions, conduct full cycle accounting and other general accounting tasks that contribute to ensuring completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial records for all stakeholders.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• AP, AR, and other related general accounting tasks.
• Bank reconciliations and recording of cash transactions.
• Processing journal entries related to the above finance areas to ensure proper recording of all business transactions.
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks including account reconciliations, financial analysis, and other areas of the financial reporting process.
• Updating finance-related data in databases to ensure accuracy of information.
• Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure processes and controls are adhered to by members of the organization.
• Assisting the finance team with budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
• Ad hoc financial analysis includes gathering, organizing, and presenting data

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
• Experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (\xe2\x80\x9cIFRS\xe2\x80\x9d)
• Proficiency with finance related programs such as Microsoft 365 Business Central is valuable, but not required.
• Self-starter, taking initiative to complete all tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills.
