INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT - AUDIT (Langley, BC)


Salary Range: Starting at $58,000/year


Smythe LLP is seeking a highly motivated and team oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our Audit and Assurance team in our Langley, BC office. Our assurance team works with clients across a wide range of industries including real estate and construction, technology, hospitality, resource, and not-for-profit sectors.


The Opportunity


Work closely with a dedicated coach who will support your technical development and career growth.
Develop the capability to complete audit and review engagements in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology.
Strengthen your understanding of financial reporting frameworks including ASPE and IFRS.
Collaborate directly with clients including controllers, CFOs, and operational leaders to build strong professional relationships.
Receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and CPA-support resources designed to help you succeed academically and professionally.
Gain exposure to diverse engagements and industries, helping you build the foundation for a successful career in assurance.


Requirements


Currently enrolled in the CPA program with a minimum of one year of experience in public practice.
Experience using Caseware and audit software is an asset.
Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in teams as well as independently.
A desire to learn, adapt, and contribute in a dynamic and challenging environment.
