Having been in business for only three years, Segula Technologies Canada already has a team of nearly 50 people and is growing rapidly.

SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring a Interior Restraints Engineer to join our growing team in Windsor, ON.

This position requires frequent travel to the USA; candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or have the ability to work in the USA.



Component design, development, and packaging.

Execution of Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing.

Management of change processes.

Maintenance of bill of materials.

Providing prototype and production build support.

Management of CAD models in Teamcenter.

Initiating weight reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Communicating technical product status to management.

Supporting vehicle assembly plants for product technical issues.

Assisting service teams in field warranty issue resolution.

Participating in root cause analysis of failures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.

Experience designing and developing 2-3 of the following: Restraints, injection mold plastics, seat structures/mechanisms, lighting, and/or interior system integration.

Knowledge of injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic components.

Experience with OEM or supplier design and release.

Proficiency in NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter.

Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R creation, and execution.

Experience with component builds and execution.

Familiarity with production process feasibility, including mold flow analysis or other interior component manufacturing processes.

Preferred: Master of Science in Engineering or Business, strong leadership skills, experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Shainin Problem Solving, in-plant launch experience.
