We're seeking skilled interior finishers and carpenters across multiple specialty areas. Whether you're a flooring expert, finish carpenter, painter, or multi-skilled tradesperson, we want to hear from you!

THE OPPORTUNITY



We're hiring for multiple finishing positions to support our growing business. You'll work on our own homebuilding projects (custom homes, townhouses, and attached homes) as well as installation projects for Robins Interiors and Design clients throughout the Sussex to Saint John region.

We're looking for professionals with expertise in one or more of these areas:



Flooring Installation

(hardwood, engineered, LVP, laminate)

Finish Carpentry

(trim, millwork, doors, stairs)

Cabinet Installation

(kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins)

Painting & Finishing

(interior painting, staining, spray finishing)

General Finishing

(multiple skills, versatile tradesperson)

WHAT YOU'LL DO



Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on your expertise and current project needs:

Flooring Installation



Hardwood, engineered, laminate, and luxury vinyl plank installation Subfloor preparation, leveling, moisture testing, and underlayment Stair capping, transition strips, and custom installations Both nail-down, glue-down, and floating floor systems

Finish Carpentry & Trim Work



Baseboard, crown molding, door casings, and custom trim details Door hanging and hardware installation Stair finishing and handrail installation Wainscoting, coffered ceilings, and decorative elements

Cabinet Installation



Kitchen and bathroom cabinet installation and adjustment Built-in cabinetry and custom millwork Countertop templating coordination Hardware installation and final adjustments

Painting & Finishing



Interior painting of new construction and renovations Surface preparation, priming, and finish coats Trim and cabinet painting/staining Spray and brush/roller application Drywall finishing and touch-up

General Responsibilities



Work on our new construction homebuilding projects Complete installations for Robins Interiors and Design retail clients Read and interpret blueprints and specifications Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Professional communication with homeowners and team members Quality control and attention to detail on all work

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR



Experience & Skills



Minimum Requirements:



2-3+ years

of professional experience in residential finishing/carpentry Demonstrated expertise in

at least one

of the specialty areas listed above Ability to read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications Own reliable transportation and basic tool set for your trade Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ideal Candidates Have:



Proficiency in

multiple finishing disciplines

(flooring AND trim, or painting AND carpentry, etc.) Experience with both new construction and renovation projects Knowledge of building codes and industry best practices Manufacturer certifications or trade qualifications Experience working in occupied homes with homeowners present

Specialized Skills We Value:



Hardwood flooring installation and refinishing Large-format plank and complex pattern work Custom trim and millwork fabrication Spray finishing (HVLP, airless) Cabinet installation and adjustment Drywall finishing and repair Tile or countertop installation Staining, clear-coating, and specialty finishes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS



Hourly Wage:

$22-$34/hour depending on experience, skill level, and specialty areas

Entry-level finishers with 2-3 years experience: $22-$26/hour Experienced tradespeople with strong skills: $26-$32/hour Expert-level specialists with multiple skills: $32-$34/hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT



Types of Projects



New Home Construction

: Our townhomes, attached homes, and single-family residences

Retail Client Installations

: Projects for Robins Interiors and Design customers in existing homes

Renovations & Remodels

: Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and whole-home updates

Commercial Projects

: Occasional commercial interior fit-outs

Service Work

: Warranty work and touch-ups on completed projects

Work Conditions



Full-time position with consistent hours (44+ hours/week typical) Monday-Friday schedule with occasional weekend opportunities Mix of new construction sites and occupied homes Indoor work environment (primarily) Active construction sites and finished homes Physical work: lifting 50+ lbs, kneeling, bending, standing for extended periods Some flexibility in scheduling for the right candidate

Safety Requirements



Follow WHMIS and workplace safety protocols Use appropriate PPE (provided by company) Maintain clean and organized job sites Respect client homes and property Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay: $22.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 50 per week
