Overview



We are seeking a creative and technically skilled

Interior Design cum CNC Machine Operator

to join our fabrication and design team. The ideal candidate will combine artistic vision with hands-on expertise in CNC operations to produce custom interior design elements such as countertops, wall panels, furniture pieces, and decorative stone or wood components. This role bridges digital design with precision fabrication, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and aesthetic appeal.

Duties and Responsibilities



Collaborate with clients or project managers to interpret design concepts and convert them into production-ready drawings or CAD/CAM files. Create digital templates and design layouts for custom interior components (e.g., countertops, backsplashes, decorative panels, and furniture). Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (bridge saws, routers, or waterjets) for cutting and shaping stone, wood, or solid surface materials. Review technical drawings, design renderings, and specifications to ensure design accuracy and material efficiency. Perform finishing work -- polishing, edging, and detailing -- to achieve desired textures and aesthetics. Inspect completed pieces for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and design alignment. Maintain CNC machinery, tools, and equipment in optimal condition; perform routine troubleshooting. Safely handle and move heavy materials using cranes, lifts, or vacuum tools. Collaborate closely with fabricators, designers, and installers to ensure smooth project execution from concept to installation. Uphold company safety standards, cleanliness, and organizational practices.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a

CNC Operator

,

Interior Designer

, or

Fabricator

in stone, wood, or interior manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and fabrication processes. Proficiency in

CAD/CAM and design software

(e.g., AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, SketchUp, Fusion 360, or similar). Ability to read and interpret design drawings, renderings, and blueprints. Excellent eye for detail, quality, and finish. Strong math and measurement skills for precision cutting and layout. Experience operating fabrication machinery and handling materials safely. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to work with heavy materials (lifting, moving, setup with mechanical aids).
