Position Summary
The Interim Director, Corporate Human Resources is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the overarching human capital strategy across Opta Group. This role leads the development, governance, and rollout of enterprise-wide HR programs, policies, and technologies to be executed by divisional HR teams. The Interim Director will oversee global HRIS implementation and support, lead the design of competitive compensation frameworks, and partner closely with executive leadership to align HR practices with long-term business objectives. This role plays a critical part in cultivating a high-performance culture, enabling workforce agility, and driving business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Global HRIS Ownership
Direct the implementation and maintenance of a scalable, integrated global Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
Oversee data integrity, security, and governance within HR systems, ensuring data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Lead change management and training initiatives related to new HR technology deployments.
Compensation and Payroll
Design and manage broad-based compensation and rewards programs that attract, motivate, and retain talent at all levels.
Lead annual compensation planning cycles, including benchmarking, salary structures, variable pay plans, and executive compensation alignment.
Reviewing and approving payroll weekly.
Operational and Team Leadership
Establish and manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and external consultants as needed.
Assisting with internal/external audits.
Required Skills and Abilities
Visionary leadership with the ability to translate business goals into HR strategies.
Deep understanding of HR operations, including policy development, compliance, and total rewards.
Proven success in leading complex enterprise-wide change management initiatives.
High emotional intelligence with excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
Expertise in HR analytics and leveraging data to drive workforce decisions.
Advanced proficiency in HRIS and enterprise-level systems
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in human resources.
Demonstrated experience managing global or multi-site HR operations and technology platforms.
SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent certification preferred.
Dayforce experience is mandatory.
Accounting/finance background is an asset.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
