Our client, located in west-GTA is seeking an Interim Controller for a period of 3-6 months.
The Controller is responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversees the accounting department, supervising a team. The Controller is responsible for the functional management and oversight of the Sage/ADP ModulesAdvantages
Working in a rewarding organizational environment and a hybrid work model with WLB !ResponsibilitiesThe Controller manages the accounting, financial analysis, payroll and reporting functions by:Supervising the finance staff working on financial analysis, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts
receivable, payroll and funder and grant administration;
Reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations;
Overseeing payroll administration, including year-end reporting;
Overseeing general ledger and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate Canadian
CICA standards and regulatory requirements;
Ensuring compliance with all funding guidelines
Managing all financial project/program and grant accounting, ensuring expenditures are
consistently aligned with applicable budgets throughout the grant/fund period;QualificationsProfessional Accounting designation
Bachelor of Commerce and/or related work experience.
Experience in a senior accounting role in a complex, professional services
environment preferably combined with organization or system-wide experience in the funding of
health or social services.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of applications
ERP system experience including implementation and parallel runs
Must have strong analytical skills, be organized and detail minded, be able to prioritize tasks in
order to meet strict deadlines and have excellent follow-up.Summary
