Purpose of the Role
The System Integration and Validation Leader is in charge to define and driving the optimal strategy to integrate all subsystems and to validate the transport system.
He/she shall lead the Integration and Validation process all along the sub-system integration process and system testing for the transport system to be delivered
Transversal and global understanding of system break down and rebuilding
Define and manage the System Integration & Validation strategy in order to optimize the overall project Integration &Validation process by leveraging FAT's, mock-ups, type tests, off-shore interface & integration tests in factory, on test tracks, software integration platforms, on-site testing, in close collaboration with his manager
Define & coordinate with all Subsystems the Validation method to be implemented for each project requirement, with the support of the Requirement Manager & System Engineering, in due time to export Validation constraints to Subsystems in their development process (It includes Subsystems subcontractors and suppliers)
Manage the I&V process timeline and the timely collection of Validation evidence all along project life, in close collaboration with the Requirement Manager
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and validation results
Define & coordinate I&V activities related to system level operational scenarios, functionalities & interfaces by leveraging Subsystems I&V activities
Pilot the optimal Testing program together with the System Testing Manager, considering the previous I&V steps performed during project execution and manage customer acceptance of I&V strategy avoiding redundant validation demonstrations
Support the compilation of all Validation evidence for System Acceptance, in close collaboration with the Requirement Manager
Support the obtention of any certification or homologation applicable to the transport system, in collaboration with the Safety manager
Act as the VTA representative in integration-related discussions and reviews

Educational Requirements
Advanced University Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical and mechanical or Electronic or Computing
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years in testing in identical field
Laboratory/factory/platform/site experience
International project experience
Knowledgeability of railway system
Electrical power distribution system
Signaling, Communication & SCADA system
Rolling Stock system
Computing
Familiarity with requirement management (DOORS) and test management tools.
