IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC\xe2\x80\x99s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY
Note: AGLC has recently moved to a hybrid work model of at least 3 days per week in the office. In addition, this is a temporary full-time position with an end date of March 31, 2025

The AGLC Integration team, part of the Integration & Quality Assurance department, is responsible for the development and operations of all application integration initiatives in the AGLC, including application integration with internal AGLC systems and external vendor solutions.
The successful incumbent is required to be proficient in all phases of application integration: design, application development and delivery, configuration, and production support. This includes planning, estimating of resources, and preparing timelines.
The primary focus of this position is application solutions and AGLC\xe2\x80\x99s systems. Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Participate in AGLC internal corporate projects.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, and monitoring integration applications.
  • Perform hands-on fixes and enhancements for integration applications.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure the issues have been resolve

To be successful in this role, you will need to be extremely adaptable and able to learn new technologies quickly. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must; as well as strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
SKILLS/ABILITIES

Formal Education & Certification:
  • A University degree computer science or related
  • 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in programming and systems analysis
  • Equivalencies considered would be a two year diploma in computer science and 4 years of directly related experience

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing enterprise grade software systems using enterprise application integration patterns.
  • Experience in Java (J2E and J2SE) development.
  • Experience working with Microsoft suite of tools including SQL server.
  • Experience with message-oriented enterprise integration such as: ActiveMQ, JMS, RabbitMQ, AMQ, Weblogic, MSMQ
  • Experience in performing unit testing, integration testing and system testing activities.
  • Experience int the design and implementation of HTTP RESTful Services, RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Proven experience in supporting real time integration solutions.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling and engineering.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem, solving, conflict resolution and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities for concurrent tasks with strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.

Desirable requirements:
  • Experience with system integration development, testing, data transformation and production administration using the Mulesoft and/or Azure Integration Services platforms.
  • Experience building API specs using RAML or any similar tools.
  • Experience building automated end-to-end system integration testing.
  • Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management technologies such as Active Directory Server or LDAP, and Single Sign On (SSO).
  • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience with Spring or similar dependency inject framework
  • Experience replacing highly coupled legacy systems with modern enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience designing enterprise integration solutions using well-known enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with the Microservices architectural design pattern
  • Experience with C#/.NET development
  • Experience and technical knowledge of JSON.
  • Experience in an environment with continuous integration (Azure DevOps (TFS Build), MSBuild, TeamCity or equivalents)
