We are seeking an Integrated Resource Plan Officer to join our IRP Policy & Coordination Department. Under the direction of the

Integrated Resource Plan Development Section Head, develop provide project leadership in support of the Integrated Resource Plan

(IRP) and its outcomes. In particular, this role has specific focus on leading the development and management of the engagement,

marketing, and communication strategies, with emphasis on external customers along with ensuring alignment with the overall IRP

objectives.


Responsibilities:


Lead planning and executing of the IRP development project. Develop processes, teams, and governance structures to ensure the plans and perspectives of the IRP interested parties and


external customers are reflected the IRP planning.

Collaborate with enterprise subject matter experts to implement IRP engagement, marketing & communication plans to meet

the objectives of an IRP in coordination with enterprise strategies.

Lead enterprise-wide cross functional teams to develop and maintain IRP engagement, marketing & communication

strategies.

Project manage the development of the IRP engagement, marketing & communications including contract management when

efforts are outsourced to provide support.

Lead the preparation of responses to inquiries from regulators and interested parties and engage with enterprise SMEs as

needed.

Provide advice in and lead activities related to public and Indigenous engagement. Develop collaborative working relationships, internally and externally, necessary to identify and incorporate best practices in

areas of strategic importance to the integrated resource planning framework and the Integrated Resource Plan.

Provide recommendations and presentations to senior management, executives, and Board-level committees for both internal

and external audiences.

Maintain proficiency in evolving integrated planning and engagement processes to enhance the integrated resource planning

framework and the processes associated with the Integrated Resource Plan.

Ensure structure and tools in support of the IRP engagement, marketing & communication and project strategies are created,

documented and accessible for use by other internal and/or external stakeholders.

Co-ordinate across the department to ensure alignment with, and efficient execution of, other enterprise planning initiatives.

Qualifications:


Completion of a four-year degree in a relevant discipline from a University of recognized standing (with special consideration

to Commerce, Economics, Environmental Science), plus five years of directly related experience (of which two years must be

in project management);

Completion of a two-year Diploma from a recognized college or university with seven years of directly related experience (of

which two years must be in project management).

Demonstrated experience with planning and executing significant multi-disciplinary strategic projects with the ability to

establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the enterprise.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete complex work assignments with minimum supervision. Strong project management skills. Experience in public and Indigenous engagement. Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills, with demonstrated experience in developing a range of

communication materials for internal and external audiences, including briefing materials, recommendations, discussion

papers, reports, speeches, presentations, correspondences, and articles for media and academic publication.


Insight into the strategic issues facing Manitoba Hydro and the electric and gas utility industry in general, with strong analytical

skills to understand and determine the implication of qualitative and quantitative information and data.
An ability to translate technical reports and analyses for a variety of audiences. Knowledge of integrated resource planning processes, including policy, enterprise objectives and mandates as well as


industry best practices for integrated resource planning.

Knowledge of Manitoba Hydro's energy supply and delivery system as well as the broader energy landscape. A self-starter, innovative, diplomatic, practical, tolerant, possessing mature judgment. Must have completed Standards of Conduct training or be willing to complete within two weeks of start date. Must obtain and maintain a current Personal Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba

Hydro policy P513.

IAP2 training and/or certification would be an asset. Project Management designation would be an asset.

Salary Range



Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $47.32-$65.33 Hourly,

$90,677.86-$125,192.08 Annually.
