Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our team. As our

Insurance Professional Instructor

, you'll facilitate the learning of students enrolled in our insurance-related courses. You will

deliver engaging, interactive online classes

using collaborative and student-centered teaching strategies. You will also take part in advising, assessment, and administrative tasks while working closely with fellow instructors and academic staff.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and making a real impact on learners looking to build a career in the insurance sector.

Hours per week: 20-23 Hours

Duties

Deliver remote instruction in insurance courses using virtual platforms Apply active learning and collaborative teaching strategies Evaluate student progress, grade assessments, and provide timely feedback Respond to student inquiries and provide academic support Maintain accurate student records and meet reporting deadlines Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into course content Collaborate with faculty and staff on curriculum design and course improvement Support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or related field Minimum 3 years of industry experience

with a degree

, OR

10+ years of experience

in the insurance industry without a degree Certification(s) in insurance:

CIP, CAIB, or Insurance Broker License

Prior teaching or training experience, preferably in a post-secondary or corporate setting Strong virtual teaching skills, including screen sharing and interactive tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Membership in relevant professional associations (an asset) Knowledge of insurance, finance, and business concepts
