We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Broker to join our award-winning Program team within BMS Canada's Affinity division. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering exceptional service to a diverse portfolio of clients who are professionals, business owners and members of association programs. This is a multifaceted position that requires critical thinking, a passion for problem solving, and a collaborative approach to program and client management. You'll work closely with the broader Affinity team and leadership and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of our insurance offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Support a portfolio of affinity clients, providing exceptional day-to-day service and support
Respond to client inquiries via email, phone and live chat with professionalism and urgency
Assist the team in coordinating renewals, including proposal development and data collection
Liaise with underwriters to negotiate referrals
Support the implementation and ongoing management of group programs, including onboarding, product changes, and performance tracking
Identify coverage gaps, risk exposures and provide thoughtful, tailored solutions
Maintain accurate policy documentation, including certificates, in compliance with internal processes
Assist with the creation of reports, and program documentation to support engagement
Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance the client experience
Key Capabilities and Attributes for Success
Knowledge of commercial P&C insurance products, with a focus on group or affinity programs an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-first mindset
Proven problem-solving ability and comfort managing complex or multi-stakeholder issues
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
Technologically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
RIBO licence is considered an asset, must be willing to obtain licence within designated period of time if not already held
Minimum 1 year experience in a brokerage or insurance role preferred
