The People People Inc., on behalf of our client, Norwich Insurance Brokers is looking for a full-time RIBO licensed broker.Norwich Insurance Brokers is an established local insurance brokerage providing a personal touch that can handle any size job, with knowledge, expertise, and quality service. We have been serving Ontario since 1990 - over 30 years at our Norwich location.Requirements:

• Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) license
• Experience with handling inquiries regarding quotes, policy changes, coverage review, rating accuracy, billing, and claims
• Handle incoming/outgoing calls and emails
• Experience with Applied Systems and Applied Rating Services required
• Quotation skills: new business, cross selling, upselling and remarketing
• Experience with insurance carrier underwriting guidelines and how to access their systems
• Administrative tasks, paperwork, correspondence, keeping detailed records
• Manage follow up activities
• Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions with clients and co-workers.
• Perform well in a busy operation
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
• Represent and promote Norwich Insurance Brokers in a competent and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field, or an acceptable combination of related work experience
• Proficient computer skills, experienced with Microsoft applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• This job requires mainly light physical exertion associated with a typical office-based role, with a frequent requirement for high-intensity mental, visual, or auditory concentration
• Occasional lifting from 5-25 lbs unassisted
