Georgia-Pacific is seeking a safety-oriented individual to join our team as a Certified Instrumentation Technicians (447A) or Experienced Instrumentation Technician Apprentices in Englehart, ON. Our OSB (Oriented Strand Board) Mill in Englehart, ON is seeking Certified Electricians. We offer a competitive compensation package including shift premiums, performance pay, benefits and pension.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Perform technical work in the repair, adjustment, calibration, and maintenance of a variety of analytical and recording instruments and equipment used in detecting and measuring the OSB process Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records Interpret and read PID loop circuit diagrams Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members in a collaborative environment Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards (e.g., OHSA, CSA Z462, Canadian Electrical Code) Ability to work 8-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

You must have (1) one of the following: + 2000 hours attributed to an Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship + Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technician Diploma
+ Electrical Engineering Technology Graduate
+ Industrial Electrician Certification

What Will Put You Ahead

447A Instrumentation Red Seal Certification

OR

OACETT C.Tech Certification Experience in the OSB or wood products industry
