We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Instrumentation Specialist for a 12-month salaried Fixed Term Contract. This position may require candidates to work a 7 / 7 Or 14 / 14 rotation consisting of 12-hour shifts with potential after-hours calls for issues that may have a negative effect on production equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect equipment and monitoring devices. You will also perform general maintenance on the equipment and design new measuring and recording equipment. Conduct tasks related to the maintenance and operations team. Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs. Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems. Ensure commissioning of instrumentation and effectively follow repair and replacement procedures. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Assist planning and other staff in identifying skills and resources needed to complete planning and other work activities. Comply with operation and maintenance procedures. Develop calibration procedures and maintain calibration equipment. Design, modify and implement changes to existing equipment/process control systems and new equipment/process control systems as assigned. Support Engineering in the design of new installations. Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment parts, and supplies, placing requests with the planners and follow up on deliveries when required. Addressing and mitigating safety/environmental risks to ensure all daily safety protocols are being met. Provide guidance and in-field training to Instrumentation Technicians & Industrial Electricians. Other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Excellent work ethic and attendance record. Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry, including maintenance, safety, equipment, and staff utilization. Experience working in an industrial plant or mine setting is desirable Project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines
