Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 04/17/2025About this opportunity:Reporting to the Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, the Instrumentation Engineer will provide technical support to capital projects and day-to-day Operations. Operations technical support will include providing assistance to maintenance personnel for telecoms, instrumentation & control troubleshooting and failure analysis, as well as disposition of Management of Change (MOC) requests. This role will manage selected small projects, including design and construction management, and will be responsible for overall safe and effective use of the controls and communications systems on the installation.What youll do:Provide day-to-day technical assistance to offshore operations/maintenance groups including preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, problem analysis and technology evaluationsProvide guidance and direction to EPC contractorsPerform technical reviews of engineering designsProvide detail engineering design for small projects which are primarily I&C or telecoms in scopeAssist in the development and maintenance of corporate programs such as technical specifications, cyber security and alarm managementWho you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:Legally authorized to work in CanadaBachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer EngineeringA member in good standing or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientist Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)Minimum 4 years of Instrumentation & Controls related experience within the oil and gas industryKnowledge of CNLOPB, DNV and Transport Canada regulations and standardsWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening and a medical.For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
