Position Responsibilities
The School of Trades and Technology is actively seeking a talented Instrumentation Engineering Technologist (IAET) to take on the pivotal role of instructing, reviewing and developing curriculum and labs within our institution. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in shaping our educational programs to meet the evolving needs of industry.
The successful candidate will be instructing, developing and delivering a mix of the following program areas depending on their experience and expertise.

Required Qualifications
Instrumentation Engineering Technologist (CET) or PENG with experience working with Engineering Technologists
5 Years post-graduation work experience as an Instrumentation Engineering Technologist
Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Effective time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineering Technologist P. Tech or Professional Licensee Engineer (P.L.Eng) in Instrumentation Engineering Technology
Engineering Technologist with a related Journeyperson certificate
10 plus years post-graduation experience as an Instrumentation Engineering Technologist
Experience writing and developing curriculum and or technical procedures.
Experience teaching post-secondary learners through both in-person and online formats

Red Deer Polytechnic offers a comprehensive benefits package including Alberta Blue Cross extended health and dental plans, and health spending account. There is a tuition waiver for RDP credit courses for you as well as your immediate family members, as well as opportunities for professional development funding. The Local Authorities Pension Plan is also offered as an option to those who have served a waiting period. There is paid time off due to Institution closures between Christmas and New Year general holidays.
This position also offers an additional 8% of the regular salary in lieu of vacation.
