Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for an on-call Instructor(s) to teach Computer Applications courses as outlined below. The appointment(s) will commence as soon as possible and end August 30, 2026 (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor salary scale: (range: $37.55 - $53.81 per hour).

Duties: The instructor will facilitate learning and is responsible for ensuring student success. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction. In addition, the instructor will complete the related administrative, record keeping and monitoring activities as well as other related duties as required to teach the program.

CECOMP 925- Word Essentials CECOMP 914- Work Expert CECOMP 916- Excel Essentials CECOMP 917- Outlook Essentials CECOMP 918- PowerPoint Essentials

Qualifications


A diploma (Bachelor degree preferred) in Business, Office Administration, or a related field along with 3 years of experience in an Office Administration position. A Provincial Instructor's Diploma or other relevant teaching certification and experience in Business or Office Administration are preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Require skills/abilities include:

Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately in a collaborative team environment Knowledge and enthusiasm for contemporary practices to promote and respect equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching, learning and professional contexts Demonstrated excellence with intercultural competence, particularly in regards to local Indigenous communities Advanced MS Office knowledge and skills (MS Office, email, internet)
