Job Description




Flexibility needed to cover weekend and evening shifts as required.

The Instructor provides creative arts programming for Veterans. Candidates will be required to provide a portfolio of recent work.




Essential Qualifications

  • University degree in Visual or Fine Arts or a University degree with a post grad certificate in Art Therapy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in ceramics, weaving and woodworking with proficiency in 2 other craft areas such as drawing, enameling, leatherwork, painting, pottery, photography, media arts or stained glass.
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Previous experience working within a Geriatric setting
  • Demonstrated superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Physical health and condition consistent with heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Previous experience and understanding of Microsoft Office Programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
Teaching and Research
  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
