Position SummaryThe Faculty of Nursing, University of Regina, invites applications from qualified individuals for two full-time, tenure-track instructors at the rank of Instructor II or III (depending on qualifications) within the Faculty of Nursing. Faculty are based in either Regina or Saskatoon. This is a teaching-focused position. The Faculty of Nursing seeks candidates with experience in nursing education, and broad clinical experience, that will be drawn upon to make their teaching relevant and engaging. The incumbents will directly support learners, and work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders in Regina, Saskatoon, and rural and remote areas of the province. Travel will be required to support student learning, community engagement, and institutional collaboration.The start date is negotiable but normally commences on July 1 or January 1.
Position RequirementsThe successful applicant must be qualified to teach all introductory-level nursing courses and be prepared to actively participate in program and curriculum development, particularly in rural and remote nursing program delivery.A Master\'s degree is required, and at least one graduate degree in Nursing is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in rural/remote nursing education, and online teaching experience. An ability to communicate in both of Canada\'s official languages will be considered an asset. Those applicants with an unencumbered all ages Nurse Practitioner Saskatchewan license will have an opportunity to also teach within the Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program.The successful candidate will have evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level, excellent communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, and a demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm for teaching. Nurse Practitioners will also have at least 2-years of direct clinical practice experience. All applicants must be eligible for an unencumbered registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.Applicants should submit a cover letter indicating campus preference: Regina/Saskatoon, curriculum vitae, truncated teaching dossier (including evidence of effective teaching, including recent teaching evaluations if available), and academic transcripts.Short-listed candidates will be asked to provide three letters of reference, quoting the competition number and candidate name; and should be sent directly from referees to the Dean, as listed below.
