Mechanical Trades
Applicants are to clearly demonstrate how they satisfy the selection criteria in their written
submissions and must identify the competition number when submitting their application. This competition may be used to establish a 12 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for
future vacancies. D U T I E S
Reporting to the Chair of the Mechanical Trades department, the Instructor is required to deliver
theory and practical training to students in the Power Engineering Technology program. Duties
will include: develop and modify curriculum; conduct student assessment and counselling;
supervise student practical labs; maintain lab and classroom equipment; maintain accurate
program records; effectively manage classroom activities; and perform related administrative
responsibilities as required. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and
College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.
