INSTRUCTOR - HEED

FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

This position requires a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend work. This position will start January 8th 2024 and conclude in late April 2024, and includes 3-6 hours of face-to-face instruction per week.

The two sections we\'re looking for Instructors are:

Fridays 8:00 to 11:00 AM

Mondays 2:00 to 5:00 PM

HOW YOU\'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Plan and prepare for the instructional delivery of HEED 1000.
  • Instruct and evaluate students in HEED 1000.
  • Maintain student and program records for your section of HEED 1000.
  • Collaborate with and contribute to the instructional team as needed.
  • Assist with curriculum development within the program where necessary.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in associated field.
  • If your education was received internationally we recommend will need an international education assessment through
, , or one of the other nationally designated organizations if you\'re the successful candidate. * Experience teaching under-represented student populations, international students, Indigenous students, and mature students.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard Ultra and/ or other educational technologies considered an asset.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 30 days.

SALARY: Reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience - this is a Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, the agreement Appendix A outlines how pay is determined. This is a casual role and includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
