Toronto Business College is a private career college that has partnered with an Ontario community college to offer programs to international students in the GTA. Our goal is to provide our students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to thrive in the increasingly dynamic workforce. We strive to offer the most relevant programs and integrate hands-on learning experiences into every class to best equip our students to succeed. TBC is seeking to hire a part time instructor for our Global Project Management program. The courses in this program will be delivered to international students on campus. Disciplines within the program include:

• Capture Planning
• Project Communication
• Project Cost Management
• Project Information Systems & Management
• Project Management Context & Control
• Project Risk Management
• Human Factors in Project Management
• Procurement, Supply, Contracts
• Project Leadership
• Quality Project Management
• Sustainability, Corporate and Social Responsibility

Instructor Responsibilities:

• Ensure that course curricula are current, relevant, and reflective of best practices within relevant professional/program disciplines.
• Upload grades and comments on the Learning Management System in a timely fashion.
• Create an effective environment for learning which accommodates students\xe2\x80\x99 diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences and individual learning styles.
• Implement course learning outcomes and assessment strategies, ensuring that they support and reflect program goals.
• Assure that students are aware of all relevant learning outcomes, learning strategies and assessment techniques.
• Assess student achievement of learning outcomes and support student progress through academic counselling and timely feedback.
• Develop multimedia materials and alternative delivery strategies, and incorporate appropriate educational technologies into the learning process.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a degree majoring in Project Management or International Business, Master\xe2\x80\x99s preferred.
• Current member in good standing of the Project Management Institute and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred for core courses.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience; facilitating learning at the postsecondary/adult level demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning is a strong asset
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas: project planning and control, project quality, project cost management, risk and/or quality management, project simulation, tools and applications, and running/involvement in international project management.
• Theoretically and practically comfortable with the requisite hardware, software, and networking equipment used in lab settings.
• Excellent grounding in best practice and emerging knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field.
• A commitment to lifelong learning in the field.
• A proven ability to work within a collaborative environment, demonstrating flexibility
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Advanced computer literacy and a demonstrated willingness to acquire and use learning tools (such as the college\xe2\x80\x99s LMS) commensurate with departmental requirements.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and problem-solving, conflict and stress management skills.
• An ability to apply an understanding of diversity and inclusiveness to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
• Teaching experience an asset.
